PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise the daily operations of the transaction processing area

  • Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies and procedures

  • Analyze workflow and assignments to ensure operations run efficiently

  • Coordinate with Operations Manager to provide feedback and updates to training curriculum

  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance Manager to develop process improvement measures

  • Coordinate with IT and other appropriate departments regarding system security access for staff, and proper process and procedural change control

  • Coordinate with EFT Outreach to migrate employers remitting payments via paper to EFT

  • Communicate daily with management regarding status and trends affecting unit

  • Evaluate and coach staff; complete and deliver scheduled performance appraisals

  • Schedule staff according to anticipated work levels and ensure smooth flow to other units for processing of day’s volume; initiate and monitor system preparedness, communicate error conditions

  • Monitor quality, performance, and productivity of payment processing unit through hands-on interaction with staff

  • Maintain client-specific processing deliverables.

  • Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of payment processing equipment reporting problems to appropriate department

  • Escalate issues when appropriate

  • Other duties as assigned


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


  • Three years experience (with at least 1 year in Supervisory role) in a high-volume transaction environment

  • PC skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Able to coach and lead others to desired level of performance

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
